TCCCB0730 - Happy Birthday

This week, over at the Crafter's Café Challenge board, the theme is to use a digital image. Come on over and join in on the fun.

The Sponsor is Dr. Digis and the image is Salon Deirdery

This will be a birthday card for my mom. Saw this image and thought of her for two reasons. She is a cosmetologist and has a yorkie dog. The lady doesn't look at all like my mom which I'll explain, but the other parts of it made me smile and thought it would be perfect for her. I must be on a banner kick lately. Yep...I like 'em and it gives an opportunity to use scraps and in this case, all washi tape which was a first.

GCC0714 - Just for you

It's a new week so that means there is a new challenge over at the Outlawz. The theme this week is BINGO. Come on over and play along in the fun.

I've seen BINGO as the theme on some other challenges so when it was my week to determine the theme, I came up with this one. Of course, I had to add the things that are easy for me to use in the squares to choose from. : ) I used the Circles, FREE, and Banners row. The sketch is from SFYTT card from Jen del Muro. I used pop dots on the sentiment banner and thicker pop dots on the dog so he would sit on top of the sentiment.

The sponsors this week are The Stampig Chef and Nice Crane. My image was chosen from the Nice Crane - Funny Dogs selection.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, x-Press It blending cardstock, The Paper Studio (the basics packs 1 and 2), SU Basic Grey.
Stamps: Nice Crane - Funny Dogs, Fiskars.
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, pop dots, white paint pen for dots in eyes..
Inks: Copics, Memories (for some reason, my black ink came out as dark charcoal for this card. How perfect was that? It matches perfectly in real life).

CAS0713 - Teeny Bikini

When I saw the challenge theme this week at the Clean and Simple challenge over at the Outlawz, I knew I had to play along. the theme is polkadots. Cheri used the song Teeny weenie polka dot bikini when she listed the challenge. I'm sure you have noticed that I love me some polkadots and binikis to the point it's almost an obsession. I won't mention the matching beach towels and cheap flip flops. ;) It's hardly a project without one form or another of polkadots.

I used my Cricut and the Life is a Beach cartridge to make this simple but wow card. These sentiments really pop when you make them bigger like I did here. I used pop dots on the main panel to make it stand up more (in between the yellow and white layer).

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah, Recollections (yellow and white), Bazzill (red).
Accessories: Cricut, Life is a Beach cartridge, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug dots ef, pop dots, corner rounder.

Our theme this week is strawberries or berries.

I actually liked how this card turned out. I think the bright colors of this paper pack helped that. Maybe it's the reverse embossed seeds on the strawberry. I added googlie eyes to the mouse.

This week,  the sponsor is Rick St. Dennis abs the image is Fred mouse.

Supplies:
Papers: Neenah,  xPress-It blending cardstock,  American Crafts (Mayberry pack).
Stamps: Rick St. Dennis - Fred mouse, Fiskars.
Accessories: Cricut,  Elegant Edges cartridge,  Sweet Shop cartridge, Cuttlebug, SU swiss dot ef, googlie eyes, pop dots.
